690 Credit Score Truck Loan With 6 Year Old Collection Dispute

I have a question about something on my credit score.  I’m recently looking to buy a new truck and when i went in and got my credit score ran there was something on it back from 2004 for $255.00 and the memo next to it said ACC how can I find out what that means or who should I get a hold of and since its 6 years old should i even pay it off? thank you for your time.

dispute the account if you can’t find the phone number or address. Check not your account.
If your credit score is good you might forget about it because it will be removed from your credit report shortly

the most often used is to reduce your debt to credit limit ratio on your open credit lines
try to get them down to less then 30 percent or at lest less then 80% showing on your credit report
and of course removing old bad credit
i would advise you to dispute the account in that it is old. warning. it might stir the account up and cause a new date
you might get it removed totally though which might help 10 or more points
