Credit Card Charge Off Collection Attorney
I went through a very difficult time financially and was unable to pay my credit cards. ( House, food, and heat came first) I contacted the credit card company and explained and told them when I could start making payments. I told them it would be 9 months, which they noted, and they called every few months. Now I know 9 months is incredibley late, but I was being very honest. Right when I was at the point when I could make payments, my account was sold to a collection ageny, who then gave it to an attorney’s office. It went to court and I agreed to pay $100/00 month. I have it taken out of my account every month. Have paid it for 7 months straight. The collection agency ( Arrow Services) who never collected a dime but sold it to an attorney’s office that is a collection service, is reporting it on my credit report as open and unpaid as of 12/09. Recent payments: 0 In actuality,They sold my account over a year ago. There is nothing from the atty’s office as having made payments. I have paid $700 of a $2,000 account ( which was originally 900, but all the fees brought it up to 2,400)
Is there anything I can do to have this poor reflection reflect a little less harshly? It makes it look like I am making no payments when I am fufilling my obligation on this credit card.

there are probably some legal avenues you can take on this one
i think you should submit this to the credit repair yahoo group above and let someone comment on it.
I would dispute the account with the collection agency
the credit card company
and validate the account with the attorney before i paid them any more monies.
good luck with your credit score anf your free credit report
