mix up on credit report with fathers credit

My Name is Alvin and I saw your email on the web about getting some advice concerning credit. I recently applied for a job in which they are entitled to take a peek at your credit. They than notified me of something I was totally unaware of. There was something on my credit report in collection. An account that my father who has the same exact name as me is responsible for. I have contacted the creditors and filed a dispute. They advised me of the potential wait that I may experience up to 30 days if I am correct. To be honest I do not have that kind of time to wait when it comes to employment. I have asked the creditor and the bureau for documentation stating that there is a mix up. They both advised me that there is nothing they could do besides to file a dispute.

Is there anything else that you could recommend?
