Mortgage Dispute

This is my second time reviewing your site and found it very useful – thank
you!!!!   My question, I was one who got caught up in the Countrywide refi
mess.  I was fortunate to have it modified with BOA, however, throughout
the process I was NEVER late with payments.  BOA held my payments in what
the called “escrow” account until the process [6 months] was complete.
During this time my payments were reported to the Credit Bureaus as late -
I have twice requested a correction and sent proof of payments [bank
statements] and contacted BOA whom stated the payments on ‘their’ books
show I was never delinquent and they cannot correct the report.  Naturally,
I asked why – you all reported late payments why can you not correct your
error?

What should be my next step?   Thank you, in advance, for any advice.
