A hospital incorrectly sent my account to collections in 2005. I had contacted the hospital many times and was told it was being processed. I received my credit report and find this is on my credit report. I called the hospital and was told they show zero balance and the Collection Agency that reported it to the credit report company is out of business.
They stated they cannot take it off the report only the collection agency can. What do I do to get this removed?

then
a simple certified delivery mail credit dispute will work perfect
just mark not your account
