My ex husband still has a card with my name 10 years after divorce
Credit card liability after divorce. Both the husband and wife are considered liable for any credit related obligation in the event of divorce. Do not be fooled by Divorce decrees stated one is liable and the ex is not. The creditor’s do not care and your credit report will reflect as such.
I just discovered through my credit report that my ex-husband has a Capital One card which has me as joint on the account.
We’ve have been divorced for ten years. The credit report shows that it was opened fourteen years ago, but I’ve never known about this card.
Now he is 90 days late on his payments and $400 over limit. Can I insist that Cap One release me of liability? Do I have to call this fraud?

this should have been handled when you got divorced
you know that
but call it anything you can to get your name off that account
if your name is on it you should be able to cancel the dern thing
if your just a user you should be able to get your name off also
i would guess your just considered a user
i would call the cc and ask them to take everything off my report back ten years
while also taking you off the c card
but i would be pissed very pissed very very
