Experian Credit Bureau & evidence of how they cheat and steal from consumers under the guise of promoting consumer rights. This will be a several blog post series that combines reported facts of actions over the past 6 years but most notabley the last 3 months.

Experian owns and operates freecreditreport.com consumerinfo.com experian.com and about another 40 freecreditreport websites to fool consumers into buying thier product. Experian Does this by buying everywebsite out there and denying affiliates that say anything about helping your credit. Why else would you buy a credit report?

Experian was the first credit bureau sued by the Federal Government for breach of consumer confidence by saying they give you totally free credit report when in fact they were selling identity theft protection and charging your card with no easy way to cancel the service before you get charged. Now Experian has to have a deatialed cancellation service because Experian took the measures past acceptable consumer realities. Experian was the first and most dangerous credit company on the web. Experian dropped the FICO Credit Score in February of 2008 in favor of their own credit score called plus that most creditors will never use. This leaves the Consumer in the dark and further frightens them into buying the protection service and credit report products Experian sells once a consumer is scared. So Experian is still scaring consumers and circumventing the government protections for consumers in any way they can.

Experian uses a credit report product that funnels consumers through the Experian Credit Products System with VERY HIGH consumer cost and very little value. ‘I E” Experian does not sell a credit score to consumers that they can take to their mortgage broker and use as a qualification vehicle.

And Most recently as of TODAY 2009 March 31rst Experian is suing LifeLock Consumer Protetion service under the same guise of protection the consumer. IE What the Government sued us about”. Consumer protection. The idea is that anything the consumer can do by themselves should be done by themselves. This is pure hogwash. We as a people need options. Experian sues to limit your options when it comes to credit.
