Secured Credit Card that report to Experian Equifax Transunion
Please exhaust the normal dispute channels before resorting to mailing to the RA and document in your correspondence what efforts you have made to get resolution through the normal process.
In any case where there is a c/o company listed, you letter should be directed to the CRA NOT the Registered Agent. These are separate companies whose business is assisting other companies to incorporate and acting as Registered Agents for them. These companies DO NOT produce credit reports, they have no authority or ability to effect your credit report in any way.Equifax:

You might also consider sending restricted delivery as well for Equifax. This in theory would require that Kent Mast himself sign for it. Kent Mast is Equifax’s corporate counsel.Trans Union:

Ok this gets hairy …. so I will explain the process for this one…
LexisNexis lists themselves as “LexisNexis Group” and being in Ohio on the website… so when I look in Ohio for “LexisNexis” there is only one “LexisNexis Group” listed. It is listed as active but is only a fictitious name filing. It is a fictitious name for a company called REED ELSEVIER INC. When I look that up they are listed as a foreign corp.. out of Mass. So I look up Reed Elsevier in Mass. this is the registered agent….

Please let me know if you find any of this to be inaccurate.
The process to find the registered agent is simple. Look them up in a state where you know they purport to be. For example in this case I went to each ones website and looked to see where they said to contact them. Once you have found them listed, it will say either foreign or domestic (usually). If it says domestic you have found the corporate information and you use the registered agent listed there. If it says foreign it means that the corporate headquarters is not located in that state. It will list the home state of the corporation or entity. So then you go to the home state and look up the entity and registered agent there. This will get you the registered agent for the corporation in its home state.
