I have an issue with a collection debt that is only reported from Equifax and not the other two bureaus. It is a debt that is owned by my ex-husband due to the fact that I filed bancruptcy in 2000. When the collection agency is called they will inform me that they cannot collect the debt from me but they can however report it. I have filed a dispute with Equifax, and I currently have good credit, but I have been turned down on a refinance of my mortgage until this is resolved. What can I do?

The thing we consumers are afraid to do, even though we are threatened with, is SUIT
vaildate the debt and sue
if they cannot collect they also cannot legally report
IF we take them to court
