How can I rebuild my credit if I have a past bankrupcty and a reposession and a few collections and charge offs from 2004. Right now I am paying all my bills and these past account all show zero balance. But I am having a hard time getting a credit card to approve me and none of the car dealers can seem to get anyone to finance me.
The last I looked my credit score was below a 600 and everything on my report looks like it is reported accurately.

The number one best thing to do to rebuild your credit is to get some new credit started with a credit card. matter of a fact you need to get three 3 credit cards or lines of reported credit. Plus these lines of credit need to show at least 12 months on the reports to be a rated trade line. So it is very important to get started now.
Go to your local major name gas station and pick up one of the gas card applications they have on the counter. Fill the application out and get a cashiers check for 200 dollars made out to the company. Send in the application, the cashiers check and a letter stating that you are trying to rebuild your credit.
Charge your gas each month and pay back more than you charge. At the end of 12 months your credit limit will be more than 200 and you will have a rated trade line.
Do this at least 3 times.
